The Center's Hands-On Kitchen offers the ideal environment for people of all cooking abilities to learn to create their own culinary masterpieces. Experienced instructors and guest chefs guide students through the cooking process using professional Viking ranges and a char-grill as well as refrigerators and double-walled ovens. Vollrath cookware is used in the Hands-On Kitchen and is available for sale in the Food ARTS Culinary Boutique. No student ever misses a single direction because the instructor can be seen and heard on 15 video monitors throughout the kitchen. Classes are offered for everyone: children, adult novices, experienced chefs looking to expand their skills, even students learning the culinary arts for college credit.
